The Olympic Center Rhine-Ruhr in Essen, Germany, one of 20 such centers for top athletes, is one of the GELITA Health Initiative's partners in sports medicine. The centers are multi-functional in nature and care for athletes in terms of career management, sports medicine, physiotherapy, training supervision, and nutrition.

Strangely enough, top athletes frequently underestimate the fact that optimal nutrition is a precondition for high sports performance. One of the goals of the Olympic Centers is to advise athletes on the value of proper nutrition for optimal performance and subsequent regeneration.

Cooperation with GELITA Health Initiative offers assistance. Many athletes place a great deal of stress on their joints when performing various sports disciplines. The Olympic Centers provide athletes with the possibility of gaining experience with the nutritional supplement collagen hydrolysate.
